MEDIA – Rep. Chris Quinn (R-Delaware) on Friday, Dec. 6, hosted a breakfast to honor and recognize veterans in the community.
“Our veterans have acted so selflessly through the years to keep our families safe, hosting this breakfast is the least we could do to honor their sacrifice and duty to our country,” said Quinn. “Not only did this breakfast express my gratitude for their service, but I hope it made valuable connections among our veterans in the area.”
Quinn welcomed over 100 veterans from the 168th Legislative District to Charlotte’s Restaurant in Newtown Square to show his respect for their service with a breakfast. In addition to breakfast, the event featured guest speaker Sam Console who spoke about his experience in the military, specifically Iraq and how he continues to serve by helping veterans in crisis.
“We have a large number of veterans in our community and it is our job to assure that each and every one is valued and appreciated for their bravery, but also that they know there is help for them if needed,” said Quinn.
Quinn also presented a House Citation to The Clayton T. Smith-John M. Howard American Legion Post in recognition of their 100th anniversary.
